Hiring just the right commercial office cleaning company can be life-altering for your busy business. Now this may seem to be a little over-the-top, but I am serious. Think about your work life-whether a single owner, a family business, or bigger corporate offices have no time. No time to keep your commercial office as organized or clean as you would like. No time to do the smaller tidying jobs that would make a huge difference.
“I am still learning about my home office. If you can’t do it yourself, find good service people and treat them well.” — Terry (mom to our Human Resources Coordinator, Louisa)
Raise your hand if you grew up with a mom (or another parental figure) constantly reminding you to clean your room? I did that’s for certain. Often, our earliest memories of figuring out how to tidy up and take care of our homes are with our moms—they taught us how to do laundry, how to do the dishes, and how to make our beds. So it should come as no surprise that when we asked our moms for their best home office cleaning advice, they came back with some great tips.
Most agreed on a few major themes: it’s important to make sure everything has a home in your workspace, that you put things back when you take them out, and that your home is an inviting, relaxing place to come home office to—and invite others to.
1 – Schedule a Weekly Cleaning
Plan to clean your office once a week. This way, you’ll get to any little things that still got left out, if there are any. Dust the surface of your lamps, shelves, and desk; wipe down hard surfaces where necessary; empty the trash; water plants; and vacuum. Don’t have time? That is where we can help! Call us today.
2 – Create a Shut-Down Routine
Develop a clean-up ritual for when you leave your office for the day. Put away notepads and pens, straighten up notebooks and planners, gather mugs and water glasses to bring out, etc. This will help make the first step a lot easier.
3 – Designate a Spot for Paper
Organizing experts agree that paper is one of the biggest sources of clutter in your home office. Accept this and create a spot for your paper. A simple paper tray can help keep your work zone tidy. But you’ll still need to deal with those papers eventually… which brings us to taking time to thank your mom for raising a good person. After that, give us a call to get on a weekly schedule to clean your home office and maybe your whole house too!
Hiring just the right housekeeper can be life-altering for the busy family. Now this may seem to be a little over-the-top, but I am serious. Think about your life-whether single, a couple or a family-you have no time. No time to keep your home as organized or clean as you would like. No time to do the smaller tidying jobs that would make a huge difference.
Do you ever casually go about your day, popping into the kitchen for a little peanut butter toast and then the next thing you know you’re turning over the toaster oven because it’s been so long and you just can’t take the crumbs anymore?
At the risk of sounding like a cloyingly optimistic Peppy Patty (which I can assure you, I am not), I never really understood all the pervasive hate for Mondays. I get that easing yourself from the freedom of the weekend into the structure of the workweek is a bit of a shock to the system…
Our spring cleaning journey has been about turning over some lesser-cleaned leaves and refreshing your space to feel brand new for the season ahead. So in many ways, today’s assignment is symbolic of the whole shebang. We’re going to be flipping and turning, revealing a fresh new face for some of the most-used…
